The Procedure of the Lesson 1

I. Introduction

a) E.T. Dear students and our guests!

         Today  we’ll  have  an  unusual  lesson. Together with your brilliant teacher of Biology, Zoya Myhailivna, we shall speak about such vital problem as nature protection. So the theme of our lesson is “The Earth is our home” (written on the blackboard). Take a self-estimation card and during the lesson tick the activity you take part in.

         As you know April 22 is a special day around the world. On that day all people of our planet celebrate Earth Day.

P.1 Earth Day is the day when many people show that they care about our fragile planet. The first Earth Day was observed in the USA in April, 1970. at that time Americans were just beginning to learn about the problems facing the planet. April 22 is known in America as Arbor Day as well. Arbor means tree. On this day Americans plant trees around the country.

Візьмемо  в  руки  книжку  В.І. Вернадського  «Біосфера»  і  відкриємо  першу  сторінку.  Читаємо  епіграф:

                            Невозмутимый  строй  во  всем

                            Созвучье  полное  в  природе …

Ці  тютчевські  рядки  довго  звучали  у  свідомості  Вернадського,  перш  ніж  його  думки  оформилися  у  вчення  про  біосферу.

Учитель:  - Що  називається  біосферою?
